Skin Glands
  1. Sebaceous skin glands - Oil glands connected to hair follicles that secretes sebum to keep skin soft, and prevent water loss.
  2. Sudoriferous skin glands - Sweat glands prevalent throughout our whole body, there are two types:
Appocrine sweat glands: Stress stimulated sweat glands that begin to function during puberty, secreted directly into the hair follicle of the axilla and groin regions.

Eccrine sweat glands: Secretes cooling sweat directly onto the skin that regulates body temperature and waste removal.

3. Ceruminous skin glands - Modified sweat glands in the ear, that secretes ear wax and provides a protective barrier against foreign substances.
